History of TJM Electronics

Founded in 1991 by Thomas J. McCarthy, TJM was the first private company in its area with both auto P&P and Mil 2000a quality spec. Listed as Philly's Top 100 for three consecutive years and 5 consecutive years for Deliotte & Touche, TJM won several awards making them a recognized and preferred supplier. By 2000, TJM grew to a $16M business, specializing in electronic manufacturing and design for the aerospace & defense industries. Acquired by the Logue Family Holdings, Inc. in 2019, TJM Associates merged with IMET Electronics Corporation, and is now operating under TJM Electronics.

Equipment and Automation

TJM Electronics boardEmbracing industry 4.0, TJM Electronics' facility is equipped with the highest performing electronics assembly and manufacturing equipment. Our state-of-the-art automated SMT systems are capable of mounting speeds to 45,300 cph and have fine pitch down to 0.3mm to deliver high quality PCB prototypes and production quantities in a timely manner. We also provide environmentally-safe board cleaning with de-ionized water recycling, ROSE testing, and humidity controlled storage for moisture-sensitive devices to ensure quality production.

Our facility features 3D Printers, High-Speed Pick & Place machines, Automated Stencil Printers, Inline Reflow Ovens (3 Zone and 5 Zone), 2D & 3D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and 3D paste inspection equipment.

Recent Industry Projects

TJM Electronics is involved in various projects, ranging from consumer electronics, to industrial equipment, medical monitors, aviation communication, navigation, and control systems.

Our primary markets are aerospace & defense, medical, industrial, and non-commodity consumer electronic products.

  • Aerospace & Defense: We manufacture printed circuit boards able to withstand harsh environmental conditions to be used in data acquisition and control applications.
  • Medical: TJM is involved in the design and fabrication of testing equipment for a hospital's R&D division to potentially decrease the infant mortality rate.
  • Industrial: We manufacture PCB assemblies for real-time systems that monitor and alert crane operators of faulty, damaged or fatigued slings to prevent heavy items from falling.
  • Commercial: Testing the waters - TJM built an analyzer instrument for pools/spas that automatically match the sample water to its pH level to determine which chemicals are needed.
